Benton County Sheriff's Office issued a press release stating that the body of missing boater, Richard Steinbeck, was recovered Tuesday morning.

ROGERS, Arkansas — The Benton County Sheriff's Office has issued a press release stating that in the morning hours of Tuesday (May 26), the body of missing boater, Richard Steinbeck, was recovered.

Steinbeck’s empty boat was found in the evening hours of May 17 by a witness who was fishing on Beaver Lake, near the area of Prairie Creek.

Original Story:

The search for a missing man on Beaver Lake has now entered day three.

Richard Steinbeck, 55, disappeared on Sunday (May 17), with his boat found abandoned on the water.

On Tuesday (May 19) crews expanded their search even further than the last two days. Steinbeck disappeared in the area between Bear Island and Deer Island.

His boat was located Sunday night and since that time police and rescue crews have been desperately searching for any signs of Steinbeck.

Since Sunday, the amount of rescue crews out on the water and on the banks has grown. On Tuesday, there were about 30 people searching in the area.

Crews at the scene told 5NEWS they have narrowed their search to areas such as coves, shorelines, docks and anywhere they feel there's a potential to find him.

Anyone who can lend a hand is being asked to help in the recovery effort.

At this time, the only thing that has been recovered is the boat, but, crews plan to see how today goes before deciding if the search will continue on Wednesday (May 20).
