The cabin has two levels. The top level is accessed from the carport and road. The bottom level opens to the lake. With large-screen TV, the upstairs is mainly an open area for kitchen, dining, and living functions. The kitchen is well-stocked and a list of food-stuffs, dishes, pots/pans, etc. can be provided upon request (too long to include here. Two floor-to-ceiling picture windows give everyone a great view of the lake and the hills beyond. With its own television, a separate bedroom (queen) and bath are also upstairs…often used by those who have difficulty with stairs. The upstairs deck area has a covered area with plenty of rocking chairs, porch swing, and table/chairs for eating or games. The connected open deck is for grilling and dining around the firepit. A gas grill, small charcoal grill, and a smoker are available. The lower level has a king bed and two twins. This area can be separated into three rooms with draperies and room dividers if needed. A sitting area with table and chairs, loveseat and arm chairs are also downstairs. This level also has floor-to-ceiling windows to enjoy the views. It is a great area for kids who just want to get away from the adults. Just outside the door is a small covered porch with a porch swing to enjoy if the weather is rainy. A full deck runs completely across the front of the house with lounge chairs, table/chairs, and bar table and chairs. This deck is great for taking in the sun during the day as well as enjoying the night sky of late evening. Great for taking your favorite beverage and just sitting in the sun and watching all the lake activity. On either side of the cabin is a yard swing and picnic table. These are great, too, if the kids want to eat on one side of the house and the adults on the other. Despite sitting just off the road, the property is very private. A chain-link fence with a tall hedge runs the entire length of the property separating it from the road. There is only one other house on the lakeshore, and it is four lots away to the north. A privacy fence separates that property from the cabin property. The south side is bounded by a chain-link fence also. The lakeside is completely open to the water. The grass is cut to the Corps of Engineers property line. To the south is a lovely cove that is good for fishing. Often guests just fish from the shoreline. Boats can be moored anywhere, but the water is a bit deeper on the south side of the property. Across the lake is Hickory Creek Park which has both day use and overnight camping areas. Boats are launched from this park or the attached Hickory Creek Marina. In addition to normal marina services, boats and pontoons may be rented. There is also a restaurant on the marina property. This area is five minutes away by boat and can be seen from the front deck. A Favorite Day: Stand at the window for a minute with that first cup of coffee and take in the quiet view before the day begins. Then head outside to a rocking chair on the top deck and enjoy the early morning. Take your next cup of coffee with you as you stroll the shoreline of the property. Maybe take a chair down to the shoreline and just sit there with your feet in the water. Afterward, come back and have some breakfast on the deck and then head out for some fun on the water. Take a break and lay down on one of the lounge chairs with a favorite beverage and take a short nap (or read while taking in some sun.) The cabin has two levels. The top level is accessed from the carport and road. The bottom level opens to the lake. With large-screen TV, the upstairs is mainly an open area for kitchen, dining, and living functions. The kitchen is well-stocked and a list of food-stuffs, dishes, pots/pans, etc. can be provided upon request (too long to include here. Two floor-to-ceiling picture windows give everyone a great view of the lake and the hills beyond. With its own television, a separate bedroom (queen) and bath are also upstairs…often used by those who have difficulty with stairs. The upstairs deck area has a covered area with plenty of rocking chairs, porch swing, and table/chairs for eating or games. The connected open deck is for grilling and dining around the firepit. A gas grill is available. The lower level has a king bed and two twins. This area can be separated into 2-3 rooms with draperies and room dividers if needed. A sitting area with table and chairs, loveseat and arm chairs are also downstairs. This level also has floor-to-ceiling windows to enjoy the views. It is a great area for kids who just want to get away from the adults. Just outside the door is a small covered porch with a porch swing to enjoy if the weather is rainy. A full deck runs completely across the front of the house with lounge chairs, table/chairs, and bar table and chairs. This deck is great for taking in the sun during the day as well as enjoying the night sky of late evening. Great for taking your favorite beverage and just sitting in the sun and watching all the lake activity. On either side of the cabin is a yard swing and picnic table. These are great, too, if the kids want to eat on one side of the house and the adults on the other. Despite sitting just off the road, the property is very private. A chain-link fence with a tall hedge runs the entire length of the property separating it from the road. There is only one other house on the lakeshore, and it is four lots away to the north. A privacy fence separates that property from the cabin property. The south side is bounded by a chain-link fence also. The lakeside is completely open to the water. The grass is cut to the Corps of Engineers property line. To the south is a lovely cove that is good for fishing. Often guests just fish from the shoreline. Boats can be moored anywhere, but the water is a bit deeper on the south side of the property. Across the lake is Hickory Creek Park which has both day use and overnight camping areas. Boats are launched from this park or the attached Hickory Creek Marina. In addition to normal marina services, boats and pontoons may be rented. There is also a restaurant on the marina property. This area is five minutes away by boat and can be seen from the front deck. A Favorite Day: Stand at the window for a minute with that first cup of coffee and take in the quiet view before the day begins. Then head outside to a rocking chair on the top deck and enjoy the early morning. Take your next cup of coffee with you as you stroll the shoreline of the property. Maybe take a chair down to the shoreline and just sit there with your feet in the water. Afterward, come back and have some breakfast on the deck and then head out for some fun on the water. Take a break and lay down on one of the lounge chairs with a favorite beverage and take a short nap (or read while taking in some sun.) Enjoy some more fun water activity and then take another nap in the shade (maybe in one of the yard swings??) Start grilling for supper and after dinner, enjoy some twilight swimming. This lake cabin sits at the end of a ridge high above Beaver Lake, so traffic is nearly non-existent and the quiet privacy is so peaceful that you won't want to leave. The three bedrooms sleep from 2 to 6 guests comfortably and because of the quiet location you will sleep like a baby. The kitchen is equipped but if there is something you need that you can't find, call Jack and he will bring it to you. There is a gas grill on the deck for your BBQ with a view. This is the whole cabin so you will be the only guests during your visit. Located just 15 minutes from town, all on paved roads, the cabin is perfectly located near all sorts of things to do. Beaver lake is known for a variety of fish but especially its striped bass; the icy tail waters of the White River below the dam are abundant with trout, so if you are into fishing you can’t go wrong. After you book contact me for hiking info, boat rental info, best restaurants info, and a list of places to go and see. Because this is an owner rental (not a hotel or motel) check-in time (3:00 PM) is important. I will wait for you until 5:00 PM at no charge, after that there will be a $20 late check-in charge. There is a situation that has occurred several times of which I need to warn you of. Attempts have been made to bring in additional non paying guests to the cabin. If this occurs all guests will immediately be required to leave the cabin with no refund. Parties, meetings, guests additional family members are not allowed, this property is for paying guests only and is a retreat from your everyday hustle and bustle.
